Tonight, as I was casually watching 60 Minutes, I heard something that made me sit up straight — heart pounding, mind racing.

As you may have heard, Bill Owens, former Executive Producer of 60 Minutes, resigned this past week. Owens cited the loss of his journalistic independence as the reason. At the time, that was deeply troubling. Now, it’s downright terrifying.

More than ever journalism is under attack

In a closing statement tonight, 60 Minutes addressed Owens' departure with a shocking admission:

"Our parent company, Paramount, is trying to complete a merger. The Trump administration must approve it. Paramount began to supervise our content in new ways."

Read that again. Let it sink in.

This isn't just some corporate restructuring. This is political interference — blatant, unapologetic, and chilling. The Trump administration has positioned itself as the gatekeeper to Paramount’s future business interests, and Paramount, in turn, has taken a heavier hand over the editorial content at one of the most respected news programs in American history.

In simpler terms: the Trump administration is actively suppressing journalism.
They are trading free press for corporate favor.

He said any American showing “dissension” against MAGA should be “immediately ejected” from their member of Congress’ town halls.
