Turn wi-fi off
When you use an ethernet connection between your computer and router, there is a way to turn off wi-fi in your settings. Contact your service provider to enquire.
When I shut down my computer wi-fi automatically turns back on, so every time I re-start my computer I go into my settings and turn wi-fi off.
At night and when not in use it is healthier to turn off your router.

The only answer is minimal use of portable devices, and a farady cage when not in use. Turning off any gateway is the key for at home.
