The following are significant reasons to communicate widely Helen Grus' case.
1] Dual role: The Minister of Justice in Canada is responsible for management and direction of the Department and is also ex officio His Majesty’s Attorney General of Canada.
2] Criminal offenses must be approved by the Attorney Gen in Canada before they can proceed to court.
3] The planet is under martial rule rendering our laws silent unless the occupiers say otherwise.
I realize this may fall on deaf ears however I'd like women to explain why they so eagerly embrace the patriarchal (ie: male rule) system? Women had nothing to do with it, it doesn't cater one iota for women, girls or children, so why do women so readily not just accept it, but jostle to be just like it? This is not to detract from this wonderful woman. But now rather than speak truth she has to ask permission of the men in the man's system (or ask permission of women in the man's system which often is even worse!)
It's very refreshing to read this Denise. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one .... women were meant to change the workplace in all professions - it's just happening more slowly than imaginable and very messily. Liberal "feminists" and Conservative anti-feminists haven't really helped much. I don't think it's helpful, though, to hold ourselves and our Joan of Arc to an unrealistic standard. She stood up against a vicious and unrelenting patriarchal machine and is still standing. Whatever she did before that is hereby erased IMO. Her case has the capacity to blow things wide open! As I understand it, she's now in the process of suing these demons and that should be VERY interesting.
