Amazon cut down to host ‘Amazon‘COP’
Jamie Jenkins
Nov 25, 2025
Around 56,000 registered delegates — politicians, officials, NGOs, lobbyists, corporate reps and activists — flew into the rainforest for two weeks of climate meetings.
To host them, Brazil fast-tracked a 13km highway through a protected area, cutting into rainforest so VIPs could shuttle between venues in air-conditioned convoys.
Self-evident contradictions
And here’s the key point: the purpose of COP is to reduce global CO₂ emissions. Whether that’s necessary or not, we can park that debate. The data is simple: after 30 years of COP, global emissions are up sharply.
1995 (COP1): ~23.5 billion tonnes
Today: ~37–38 billion tonnes
An increase of roughly 60%
After all the speeches, declarations, midnight sessions and “historic” announcements, nothing major changed. COP remains a massive, carbon-intensive talking shop — while global CO₂ rises regardless.
Unproven climate alarmism is big business
This summit was sold as the moment the world would “stand with the rainforest”.
In reality:
A 13km highway was cut through the Amazon rainforest specifically for COP30
Protected zones were cleared for compounds, logistics and motorcades
Locals and Indigenous groups protested, calling it “green colonialism”
The world’s elites flew into the rainforest to discuss protecting the rainforest, while physically damaging it to make the summit possible.
You couldn’t design a more fitting metaphor for modern climate politics. Belém overflowed. Cruise ships were brought in as floating hotels. The world’s most carbon-intensive conference is the conference about carbon.
This is the climate industry in 2025: a global touring operation that grows every year — while the global emissions it claims to address continue to rise. Continues at https://substack.com/home/post/p-179868606
Teaching moment
I had asked the Creator of All That Is, Was, Ever Shall Be, to ‘show me’ anything in my life that is faulty or close to expiring so I can take care of it now while cash is still king. First, it was the starter motor on my generator that was replaced under warranty that expires 2026.
After waiting 2 years for a used day running light module for the passenger side of my older Infiniti car, when I recently booked a tune up and winter tire installation I asked my mechanic to order a new module [$500]. My mechanic found and installed a used module that did not work. Subsequently, the headlight on my passenger side did not work. When I returned, the mechanic mentioned a new product he was introduced to that seals the minutest crack in wires, which he used. I left his shop with both my day running light and headlight working at no cost.
The assembly mixer that controls the fuel supply on my generator had to be replaced under warranty.
Nov 20, 2025 my furnace stopped. Furnace failure resulted in a miracle. I asked if a neighbour had a tarp with handles to move furniture. He said he had a dolly and to give him a moment. When he showed up, the height of my heavy oak cabinets was too high to clear the room. Instead, he tilted the cabinet while I placed a moving pad underneath to pull the cabinets into place one by one. Doing so, allowed me full and safe access to a fireplace for warmth.
After waiting for a new circuit board and after 2 service calls it was determined the furnace needed to be replaced. My HVAC dealer had committed to several furnace installations and was unavailable. Nov 27, 2025 I called a local HVAC dealer specializing in Carrier furnaces. That same day, the sales rep showed up at 4:00 pm. This HVAC dealer is the top Carrier dealer in Canada and a new furnace is being installed at this very moment.
While searching for a qualified HVAC dealer I was informed the Canadian government banned mid efficiency furnaces due to carbon emissions and only high efficiency furnaces can be sold. I informed the HVAC dealer that climate alarmism has never been proven, and that evidence contrary to the official narrative is starting to go mainstream. If I find the HVAC dealer’s email I will send them the above COP article.
I encourage everyone to share objective truth when opportunity presents itself. I share my experiences as evidence of how ease and grace follow when humans open our minds to new ways of being human.
Without prejudice and without recourse
