Borate is the substance that is great for ants and termites. A certain mixture sprayed in wood soaks into the wood and if termites eat the wood it will kill them.
Apparently info is in a book called “The Old Ways”. I tried to copy some of the comment about it on YTub but guess they have some sort of crazy thing that happens when trying to copy comments.
Did not say in the comment I read. It sounded like maybe Amish (or Mennonite) oriented since it was related to the video. Found Menard’s does sell it and Walmart when no other choice, but Borax not as easy to find le what I remember as a kid seemed my mom had no problem finding it and no Walmart or Menards where we wete.
