Team Cheerfulness🇬🇧 | World's Toughest Row 2024
From Peter Sage
This week wasn’t just about reaching the finish line—it was about the incredible community that carried us through every wave and challenge. As we approached land, the outpouring of love and encouragement from all of you was truly humbling.
It was an emotional moment, stepping onto solid ground for the first time in nearly seven weeks. Lee and I were greeted by friends, family, and even a few fellow rowers who’d already completed the race. The energy was electric, and the sense of accomplishment was overwhelming

But this journey wasn’t just about crossing an ocean. It was about proving that no matter how big the challenge, we’re capable of more than we think. Whether it’s rowing 3,000 miles, overcoming a personal struggle, or chasing a dream that feels out of reach, the same principles apply:
· Focus on your why. When the waves are crashing and the rudder breaks (again), it’s your purpose that keeps you going.
· Lean on your team. Lee and I couldn’t have done this alone. Surround yourself with people who lift you up, challenge you, and remind you of your strength.
· Celebrate the small wins. Every mile rowed, every sunrise, every moment of laughter in the face of adversity—it all adds up.
This experience has been one of the most transformative of my life, and I can’t wait to share more stories, lessons, and insights with you in the coming weeks. For now, I’m soaking in the joy of being back on land, reconnecting with loved ones, and reflecting on what’s next.
Thank you for being part of this adventure. Your support means more than words can express. Here’s to embracing the waves, celebrating the wins, and always rowing forward.
With gratitude and love,
Peter Sage

Teamwork
Humans are so much more than programmed to believe. That’s what adversity is here to teach us.
Peter, Lee and all other rowers proved … when we pull together we are unstoppable! TY!
Without prejudice and without recourse
