Fractal time 2012 and climate change

I read in Gregg Braden’s book about four worlds of the past and how ocean sediment and polar ice cores confirm the planet, has in fact, undergone a cyclic history of cataclysms from fire, ice, water and periods of recovery.

According to Native American Hopi, the same cycles of time and nature that heralded such changes in the past are now bringing the present world [as we know it] to an end as the next begins. What makes the Hopi worldview so important going forward is their accuracy regarding the past; the Hopi knew of these cycles long before modern researchers could confirm them scientifically.

Polar ice cores don’t lie

Gregg Braden “When we talk about the history of the earth and changes upon the earth—physical changes—one of the ways we’ve been able to convey that to large, general audiences, non-scientific audiences, is by sharing images of data collected from the earth and on the poles of the earth: the icecaps of Antarctica and Greenland, the North and the South poles. Those areas represent essentially a library, locked into the ice, of the history of the earth. Every year a new layer of ice is deposited on the North and the South poles. In that layer, we have dust particles from the atmosphere—little bubbles of the atmosphere, little air bubbles that contain carbon dioxide and oxygen, as well as pollen grains that are floating in the atmosphere during that year. And all of that information is locked into that layer of ice.”
