The protesters held a mock court trial outside Parliament to try the government for crimes against humanity.
Boos echoed out across Parliament lawn earlier today and chants of "guilty" could be heard as about 1000 anti-government protesters assembled outside Parliament for what they dubbed "the people's court".
The crowd - who were addressed at one point as the "jury" - were asked for the verdict to which they yelled "guilty".
A wall of police separated opposing protest factions outside Parliament earlier today as the Brian Tamaki-led protest met a counter-protest group. Tamaki said yesterday he did not want any violence at today's demonstration.

The health department is encouraging New Yorkers to wear face masks to protect against the new virus outbreak, as well as COVID-19 and the flu. Monkeypox primarily spreads through physical contact but can also be transmitted through respiratory droplets in the air.
