Obesity and endocrine-disrupting chemicals
June 14, 2025
Dr. Bryan Ardis is a whistle-blower on drug-based medicine: “They are putting chemicals in meds and food that make us fat.” At the Red Pill Expo 2025 Dr. Ardis highlights obesogens and the following scientific paper starting at 4 hours https://streamyard.com/watch/mCWVGZhGqzsq

Obesogens: Hidden Contributors to the Obesity Epidemic
Feb 11, 2022
These chemicals are found in everyday household items like food containers, toys, cookware, personal care products, cleaning agents, and medical supplies.
Obesogens may promote obesity by interfering with your metabolism and hormones. Evidence shows that human exposure may start as early as in the womb. Their impact may even affect future generations.
Common types
There are many types of obesogens or EDCs. Here are 5 of the most common ones.
1. Bisphenol-A (BPA)
BPA is a synthetic compound used to make polycarbonate plastic and epoxy resins that line food and beverage cans. BPA at levels found in the general population is linked with increased prevalence of obesity, diabetes, and high blood pressure.
2. Phthalates
Present in toys, medical devices, food packaging, detergents, soaps, shampoo, nail polish, lotions, and perfumes. Phthalates are found almost everywhere, and their metabolites — or end products — have been detected in over 75% of the U.S. population.
3. Atrazine
Atrazine is a widely used herbicide in the United States. Research shows that herbicide exposure has a potential effect on chronic diseases such as diabetes, cancer, and birth disabilities, as well as increased risk of gestational diabetes in those who are pregnant.
4. Organotins
Organotins are a class of industrial compounds used as polyvinyl chloride (PVC) stabilizers, antifouling paints, and pesticides. In mammals, including humans, the adverse effects of organotins are varied, ranging from obesity to heart-, brain-, and immunotoxicity.
5. Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA)
PFOA is a surfactant used in waterproof clothing, nonstick cookware, stain repellent, and microwaveable food items. Studies in mice suggest those exposed to PFOAs before birth had higher chances of developing obesity when they reached adulthood, as well as increased insulin, leptin, and body weight. Beware of black plastics
Apr 3, 2026
Dr Rhonda Patrick explains that black plastic containers can contain chemicals like BPA, phthalates, and flame retardants from recycled materials.
Heat, acidity, and spicy foods can increase how much of these chemicals leach into food, while microplastics may still transfer even without visible damage.
Black plastics contain toxic compounds that can leach into food
Nov 30, 2024
Certain products made from black plastic — like the kind found in takeout containers, coffee lids and even kitchen utensils — are coming under fire by experts because of a recent study that found lack of regulation around recycling is causing toxic chemicals to show up in household plastics.
Fire retardants — including toxic, regulated compounds — were found in roughly 85 per cent of products analyzed by the study's researchers. The items tested include kitchen utensils, food trays and even children's toys.
