Tom Campbell: Everybody can benefit from this information because if you know the game you're playing and you know the rules, you ought to be better at it. The advantage is understanding this is a virtual reality, you are part of consciousness, your purpose is to grow up, become love, and lower your entropy. Knowing this intellectually isn’t going to help you if you don’t do anything about it. If you don’t actually make the effort to reduce your ego, if you don’t make the effort to get rid of fear then the overall effect is negligible. It should make your consciousness evolution more directed, more focused, and more effective. And what’s the benefit in that? Your whole life here gets better b/c when you’re going with the stream rather than trying to swim against it life is easier. The system wants to help you. So, you’re trying, you’re making an effort, and suddenly everything falls into place. The synchronicity works for you. Things happen just as you need them. Relationships are better because you understand it’s not about you, it’s about other. Your life gets better.
2:19:56 mins If we are truly evolving toward lower entropy, why is the world struggling so much with things like war, famine, environmental degradation?
Tom Campbell: What you see is what we are. When you turn on the nightly news and all you get is death and destruction, well, that’s partly the bias of the nightly news. That’s all they ever report because that’s what makes people turn the channel on. Fear is a big motivator. What you see out there is a representative of us. That’s the way we are. That’s the level of consciousness we are at. We’re full of ego. We’re full of fear. We want. If we don’t have it, we want to take somebody else’s. The world you see out there that’s awful that’s the way humanity is. This is not a graduate school. This is a daycare for budding consciousness. We are not advanced. We are struggling. We are evolving but it’s hard to see. I think if you look at the big picture of the evolution of consciousness on the planet, I think you’re going to see a slight uptrend. Slow, but getting better.

That daycare metaphor hits different. The whole 'This is not a graduate school, this is a daycare for budding consciousness' line is hilarously accurate when you look at how most of us stumble through life. I've spent way too much time thinking I was smarter than the proccess, only to realize I was basically a toddler throwing tantrums at the universe. The synchronicity stuff is real though—once you stop fighting everything, good things just kinda materialize.
