This is no ordinary Blood Moon

On March 2–3, 2026, a total lunar eclipse will sweep across Leo, thirteen degrees from Regulus, the royal heart of the Lion a.k.a. the little king. This is not an ordinary Blood Moon. It belongs to Saros Series 133, a family of eclipses that has been building its signature since 1557. Every Saros series has a character, a recurring question it poses to the world each time it returns. To understand what this eclipse is truly asking, we need to go back to the beginning.
First eclipse theme
The first eclipse of Saros Series 133 fell on May 23, 1557: When old power collapses, new systems of control rush in to fill the silence.
Second eclipse them
Second eclipse of Saros Series in 1575, deepened its theme: Cultural transformation requires both a sovereign hand and a visionary eye.
Third eclipse theme
The third eclipse of Saros Series June 13, 1593, brought the pattern to its sharpest point. The moment the powerful are made mortal, and the silenced find their voice.
The signature of Saros Series 133 is this:
It arrives at the pivot point between worlds. It does not simply destroy, it reorganises. It reveals what the existing structure can no longer hold, and births those who will build what comes next. Look at 2026. A dominant financial order visibly fracturing. Control of information as the central battleground of power. The technologies of warfare transformed beyond recognition. The myths of institutional invincibility falling one by one. And previously silenced voices breaking into public life with an urgency no establishment has yet figured out how to contain. Saros 133 has seen all of this before.
All creation is interconnected
The Moon will be in Leo, conjunct Regulus, whose ancient warning has never changed: greatness is yours, but not if you seek revenge. This eclipse does not arrive to terrify. It arrives to clarify. The question it asks, as it has asked since 1557, is the same one Artemisia answered with every brushstroke: now that you can see it clearly, what will you do with your power?
