The Gateway Experience

It was called the ‘Gateway’ Experience b/c techniques used in their scientific experiments opened a gateway to different modes of perception.

Robert Monroe [October 30, 1915 – March 17, 1995] was a radio broadcasting executive known for research into altered consciousness. He founded the Monroe Institute, the most renowned institute for consciousness studies.

In the early 70’s, Bob Monroe who was having out of body experiences, invited a graduate physicist Tom Campbell and electrical engineer Dennis Mennerich to determine if out of body experiences were real or a figment of his imagination. Tom and Dennis agreed to participate if Bob Monroe taught them how to leave their body, which Bob Monroe did. The scientific experiments Bob Monroe set up were based on objective science not woo woo science that proved out of body experiences are real. They also discovered 4 hertz brain waves allowed man to access non-physical information independent of time and space.

Analysis and assessment of the Gateway Process

The Gateway Process was explained in a report completed in 1983 that showed scientific ‘evidence’ of how to produce states of expanded human consciousness.  

CIA declassified documents include a system to teach people how to focus their brainwaves. This process alters consciousness allowing it to move outside the physical sphere and ultimately escape restrictions of time and space. The participant then gains access to higher levels of intuitive understanding.
